This policy explains how Cosdon Consulting handles personal data in connection with this website, and what rights you have. Cosdon Consulting Limited is the data controller for the purposes of UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.

What the website collects

This website does not collect or store your personal data. There is no form that submits data to us or to any third party, and we don't use tracking cookies or analytics that identify you personally.

The contact page includes a tool that helps you compose an email to us. When you use it, it simply opens a pre-filled message in your own email application — you choose whether to send it, and nothing is transmitted or stored until you do. If you email us (through that tool or directly), we receive the information you choose to include, such as your name, email address, and details about your enquiry.

Why we hold it

We use the information you send us solely to respond to your enquiry, prepare a quote, and correspond with you about potential or ongoing work. The legal basis for this is legitimate interest; responding to enquiries you've initiated — or, where a contract for services follows, contractual necessity.

Where it's held

Any email you send us is held in our business email account, provided by a reputable email provider, and is accessible only to us. We don't pass your details to third parties for marketing, and we don't sell your data.

How long we keep it

Enquiry details are kept for as long as reasonably needed to respond to you and, if work proceeds, for the duration of that engagement plus any period required by our professional and legal obligations. Enquiries that don't lead to work are deleted within 12 months.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you can ask us to access, correct, or delete the personal data we hold about you, or object to how it's used. To do this, email elliott@cosdonconsulting.co.uk. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk) if you believe your data hasn't been handled properly.
